Strategic Infrastructure Programme
In 2001, with Resolution 121/2001.doc, 39Kb, the CIPE approved the Strategic Infrastructure Programme (PIS), a series of infrastructure interventions by means of which to support Italy’s development and modernization and accordingly considered of priority interest.
Thanks also to the new legislative procedures introduced by Law 443/2001, the so-called Objective Law.pdf, 52 Kb, a start has been made on numerous projects considered of strategic importance in the road, railway, water, energy and construction sectors.
Over the years the Programme has undergone some changes owing both to the inclusion of new interventions and to changes of a procedural nature. In order to verify the state of implementation of the Programme, with Resolution 69/2008.doc, 445 Kb the CIPE required an updated report on the costs and financing of the works included in the Programme.
The report was produced jointly with the DIPE of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Technical Mission Structure of the Ministry for Infrastructure and Transport in the early months of 2009, drawing also on the results of a survey that covered the works approved by the CIPE (with data collected by sending a questionnaire to 164 persons responsible for the procedure).
All the information concerning the works that are part of the Strategic Infrastructure Programme and the results of the survey are contained in the report on the state of implementation of the Strategic Infrastructure Programme, of which the CIPE took note in Resolution 10/2009.pdf, 4.10 Mb.
